1.Right-click on an empty area of the desktop on the computer.

2.Click “New” and then “Shortcut” from the menu.

3. When the window opens, type \\aristotle or \\socrates (for whichever file server you want a shortcut for) in the location field.

4. Click the “Next” button.

5. Enter the name for the shortcut.

6. Click the “Finish” button. A shortcut will now be on your desktop.
