You must submit a VPN Access Request Form in order to access the agency’s VPN connection. That form can be found at: \\aristotle\agency forms\Information Technology Forms

Once that form has been approved and received by the I.T. Department, your access will be provided.

The I.T. Department will need to setup a VPN connection on your mobile device in order for you to access the CAC network from a mobile location.

There are two (2) options for connecting to VPN.

1. CAC-VPN – which should be used when just connecting periodically.
2. Meraki-VPN – which should be used when connecting for the entire day. This is something that only a few users actually have accounts for.
Only choose 1 VPN option to connect to.

VPN Option #1: CAC-VPN

1. Double-click the “CAC-VPN” connection on your desktop.

2. Click the “Connect” button.

3. The credentials are exactly what you use to login to your computer.

  • Username will be CAC\username
  • Password will be the same login password that you already use.
  • Click the “OK” button.
  •

4. You are now connected to the VPN/CAC network!

5. In order to access the file server, you must also connect to that.

6. Open File Explorer and type \\aristotle or \\socrates in the address bar. You
may be prompted to enter your credentials again.
• Username will be CAC\username
• Password will be the same login password that you already use.
• Click the “OK” button.

VPN Option #2: Meraki-VPN

1. Double-click the “CAC-VPN” connection on your desktop.

2. Click the “Connect” button.

3. These are unique credentials.
• Username will be your email address. [email protected]
• Password is _________ (This should’ve also been sent in an email once your Meraki VPN account was created).
• Click the “OK” button.

4. You are now connected to the Meraki/CAC network!

5. In order to access the file server, you must also connect to that.

6. You may automatically be prompted to enter your “Windows Security”
credentials. Or you can simply open File Explorer and type \\aristotle or \\socrates in the address bar.

  • Username will be CAC\username
  • Password will be the same login password that you already use to login to your computer.
  • Click the “OK” button.
